Pokerstars, the world’s biggest poker site operated by the Amaya Gaming Group, announced today that they will be opening a live poker room at the City of Dreams Manila resort, which had its soft opening on December 14th.
Pokerstars is one of many international famous brands who has bought their way into the resort’s space, with famous restaurants, lounges and clothing stores already having got their space at the new luxury resort.
Melco Crown Resort Corp (Who owns the resort) announced on the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday that the Pokerstars live room will feature a total of 14 poker tables, which will run cash games and tournaments. The poker room can also be expanded in case of bigger tournaments coming to the resort, which includes the Asia-Pacific Poker Tour Manila Resort.
“Our relationship with City of Dreams has been nothing short of amazing in our poker room in Macau,” Director of Live Operations for Asia-Pacific at Pokerstars, Danny McDonagh said in a press release.
The new resort has scheduled their official grand opening to be before the Chinese New Year and will feature 380 gaming tables, 1,700 slot machines and 1,700 electronic table games. Poker tournaments will run from Friday to Sunday and cash games will run whenever there’s players for it.
