Planet Hollywood Offers Britney Spears $12MM Extension

Pop star Britney Spears has been all over the world in her long career, but for now she seems to stay put in Las Vegas. The 32-year old singer has been offered a one-year extension to her current two-year residency deal at Planet Hollywood, Daily News reported.

The Planet Hollywood casino, owned by Caesars Entertainment, has been rumored to want to keep Spears performing until at least Christmas 2016. Tickets for the triweekly shows have been selling out constantly at a rapid pace, despite the $300 cost.

Spears started her residency in Las Vegas last December when she signed a deal worth $30 million for a two-year run. After an initial worry over Spears being able to fill the 7,000-seat arena the pop idol showed that she still got it. Caesars Entertainment does not have to worry about losing money on the deal as one sellout night already brings in $2,100,000 in ticket revenue alone.

In total Spears has sold over 100 million albums worldwide since her breakthrough single ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ was released in 1999. Singing however is not what she does in Las Vegas as she lipsyncs her way through a long list of songs on a night-to-night basis. Strangely enough his however does not put off even her most famous fans. If you want to catch Spears dancing on stage, Las Vegas will be the place to go for the foreseeable future.
