BetMakers Bolsters Portfolio with Racelab Asset Acquisition

BetMakers has finalized an acquisition agreement, paving the way for the integration of Racelab assets into its portfolio. Under the terms, BetMakers will pay AU$1.5m, with a potential additional payment of up to $500,000.

Describing the deal as “highly strategic,” BetMakers emphasized the value it brings to the company. The acquisition enhances BetMakers’ racing ecosystem by incorporating race form, preview, and statistics technology, along with proprietary fixed-odds pricing technology and associated algorithms.

The Racelab assets include ProForm informatics, enhanced content, Odds Engine pricing, and trading technology. This acquisition not only expands BetMakers’ offerings but also opens doors for growth in harness and greyhound racing sectors. Furthermore, it establishes an ongoing partnership with Sports Information Services Limited, enabling the development of products and services for global customers.

BetMakers CEO Jake Henson expressed confidence in the acquisition, stating, “We are very pleased to secure this unique set of assets that hold tremendous potential for BetMakers.” He highlighted the company’s ability to integrate Racelab operations seamlessly and leverage its global infrastructure to drive new revenues. “We have acquired market-leading technology that further broadens the capabilities of BetMakers’ racing ecosystem for both wagering operators and rights holders alike, across the globe. 

“In addition, we are uniquely placed to integrate Racelab operations into our existing global infrastructure. This drives new revenues via our existing sales channels and continues to develop upon the strategic vision of both ProForm and Odds Engine.
