Event #9: $1,500 Limit Hold’em at the 2024 World Series of Poker at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas started with six players on the final day. By the end of the day, Guagenti stood alone, holding the gold bracelet. The event had a total prize pool of $591,405.
Guagenti entered the heads-up play with a 7:3 chip lead against Joseph Brodsky. The contest lasted several hours, with Brodsky putting up a strong fight despite his initial disadvantage. Throughout the game, the two players showed mutual respect, often engaging in friendly conversation.

As the runner-up, Brodsky earned $80,717, boosting his career earnings to $121,158, well above his previous best earnings in a soingle tournament of $8,101.
