Neither the whale swindler who ripped off the Crown Casino for $32 million nor the insider who assisted him in the scam will be subject to a police investigation. The casino chose not to involve the police department despite the heist being the biggest in its history. According to a statement from a Victoria police spokeswoman, the police department has been liaising with the casino on the matter, but “have not received a formal complaint in relation to this matter, however we have been briefed on the issue”. Crown said it did not wish to comment.
