Intralot Gaming Services announced today that they have signed a contract with the Victorian State Government in Australia to implement a voluntary pre-commitment scheme for up to 30,000 Electronic Gaming Machines (EGM) across the state and in Melbourne casino.
The commitment is seen as being a state-of-the-art and world leading in responsible gaming initiatives. The pre-commitment will be voluntary for players, but will mandatory to be offered on all gaming machines operating in Victoria including Melbourne Casino. Players can then set time and loss limits on any EGM and will always have access to their personal information.
The agreement between the two parties was made in September last year, after intense negotiation. The agreement will run from 2015 until 2027, with the new systems being installed during the course of 2015 and then maintained by Intralot.
The Minister for Liquor and Gaming Regulation, the Honourable Mr. Edward O’ Donohue MLC, stated: “The Victorian Coalition Government welcomes the agreement reached between the state of Victoria and INTRALOT and looks forward to continuing to work with IGS to deliver a world leading voluntary pre-commitment system for Victorian gaming machine players.”
