The Chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission has approved a management agreement between the well-known Station Casinos in Las Vegas and the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians in California. This is a huge milestone. An important milestone in the joint endeavor to create and run the "North Fork Project," a gaming and entertainment complex, has been reached with this alliance. The North Fork Project may be developed and operated jointly thanks to the Third Amended and Restated Management Agreement, which has been authorized, and a related development agreement. Located north of Madera, California, on a 305-acre plot of property next to Highway 99, this establishment has the potential to grow into a well-known gaming and entertainment hub. Project Features and Scope When the North Fork Project is finished, it will have a 100,000-square-foot casino with more than 2,000 slot and video poker machines and 40 table games, including well-known choices like Pai Gow, Three-card Poker, and Blackjack. In addition, there will be ample parking spaces, a restaurant and bar area, and easy access from Highway 99 at this site. Expressing delight at the approval, Fred Beihn, Chairperson of the North Fork Rancheria, stated, "Our Tribe is grateful to have a partner so committed to the principles of tribal sovereignty and to bringing the full benefits of tribal gaming to our Tribe and community." Red Rock Resorts' operating division, Station Casinos, brings a wealth of expertise to the table, having managed the creation and growth of two California casinos, Graton, close to Santa Rosa, and Thunder Valley, close to Sacramento. When Station Casinos' seven-year management agreements came to an end, these casinos were turned over to tribal operators. The corporation, which owns and runs a number of well-known properties, such as Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa Casino and Red Rock Resort, stated that it is excited to build new facilities and create jobs in order to support the local economy.
