EasyGo Solutions is a financial startup located in Melbourne that Craven co-founded with Bijan Tehrani. They are hiring elite personnel from well-known Australian software companies like Atlassian and Canva in an attempt to get into the cryptocurrency and online gaming markets. Paying senior software engineers, principal software engineers, and engineering managers 20% more than the industry average is what EasyGo Solutions is proposing. The firm offers "top-end" perks and pays for interstate relocation expenses as well, according to The Australian. Dave Lemphers, EasyGo’s chief technology officer, highlighted the need for experienced engineers to tackle issues related to “hyper-scale growth.” He emphasized that companies like Atlassian, Canva, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google have the experience needed for scaling complex systems, making their employees highly sought after in Australia. The Australian tech sector faces a significant skills shortage, with an expected need for 300,000 extra workers by the end of the decade. However, only about 6,000 domestic students graduate each year with degrees in science, technology, engineering, or math, forcing companies like EasyGo to recruit from other local firms. EasyGo Solutions Doubles Down on Growth EasyGo Solutions has expanded rapidly, growing from two staff members to over 350 in just five years. The company has taken additional office space on Collins Street in Melbourne to accommodate this growth. Stake.com, a subsidiary of EasyGo Solutions, is one of the world’s largest crypto casinos, handling around AUD400 million ($266.8 million) in bets daily. Since its inception seven years ago, it has processed more than 200 billion wagers. Despite Australians being banned from gambling online with cryptocurrency, EasyGo Solutions has diversified its investments. The company holds nearly 5% of ASX-listed online bookmaker PointsBet and has applied for a bookmaking license in the Northern Territory. EasyGo Solutions also plans to expand into Latin America. After acquiring Betfair’s Colombian operations, it intends to open a hub in Bogotá and hire over 50 staff across the region by the end of the year. The company also aims to enter markets in Peru, Mexico, and Paraguay. Craven and Tehrani’s strategy includes high-profile deals like acquiring naming rights for the Sauber Formula 1 team and sponsoring English Premier League team Everton, aiming to bring Stake.com into the mainstream.
