Although taxation specifics are not outlined, it is anticipated that the gross gaming revenue rate for online operators will mirror that of land-based casinos, currently set at 29%. Operators from other countries that want to join the Dominican Republic market will have to meet strict regulations. This entails registering their business with the Commercial Register of the nation, following the General Directorate of National Tax and the Office of National Contributions' registration guidelines, and maintaining servers within the nation. In addition, operators need to start up within six months of receiving the license in order to guarantee prompt adherence to regulatory requirements.
