The latest addition to the list of licensed operators is the Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise, a venture of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
The roster of approved operators includes major players like FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, Fanatics, bet365, ESPN Bet, and Underdog Sports Wagering. In a recent online statement, the commission noted, “Two additional provisional supplier licenses were also issued. As of Feb. 29, the Commission has issued three full licenses for sports wagering supplier, 20 provisional supplier licenses, and three sports wagering service provider licenses.”
Under current regulations, the Lottery Commission can issue up to 12 interactive sports wagering operator licenses once the market matures. This will enable both online and mobile betting, as well as in-person wagering options for players.
