BeSoccer, a leading live football score provider, was purchased by Livesport in a calculated attempt to increase its presence in live sports broadcasting. Through this acquisition, Livesport will be able to provide better sports content to its audience by adding an estimated 25 million monthly users to its current platform, Flashscore. Three BeSoccer companies are included in the agreement: Resultados de Fútbol, BeSoccer Pro, and the main BeSoccer app.
BeSoccer, which has surpassed 100 million downloads worldwide, focuses on live football scores and appeals to English-speaking audiences. Its Spanish counterpart, Resultados de Fútbol, also brings substantial engagement from Spanish-speaking users, while BeSoccer Pro provides advanced data analytics for football professionals. Livesport noted that this acquisition will deepen its coverage, especially in Spanish and French-speaking markets where BeSoccer has a solid following.
Martin Hájek, chairman of Livesport, shared the company’s excitement about the acquisition, calling it “the largest in the history of the company.” He emphasized the strategic fit, stating, “BeSoccer’s acquisition will significantly strengthen our position in Spanish and French-speaking countries, where BeSoccer holds a strong user base. Their product and its territorial reach complements Flashscore perfectly, especially in football, our leading sport among the 30-plus we cover.”
With the acquisition, BeSoccer’s majority owner Manu Heredia will transition to an advisory role within Livesport’s board. Heredia expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, reflecting on the growth of BeSoccer, which he describes as “the most popular live football scores app in the world.” He emphasized the potential for growth: “It’s time for BeSoccer to take an exponential leap forward with the support of Livesport, a global leader in sports information who shares our passion.”
Heredia added, “Together, we will explore new horizons for BeSoccer to keep growing—not only as the largest football app but as the ultimate project for fans and football professionals alike.”
