The 13th season of the World Series of Poker Circuit will close with the WSOP Global Casino Championship to be held between Aug 8-10. The Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in North Carolina will be the host of the tournament.

The Global Casino Championship features a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and will be accompanied by the first WSOP Circuit festival. It is an official 2016 gold bracelet tournament, and according to WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart, has marked an astounding growth over the past year.

The top 100 players in the WSOP Player of the Year ranking from last year are eligible for a $10,000 direct buy-in to the event. Furthermore, any player who triumphed in an official ring event on the WSOP Circuit will have the same privilege.

The seven remaining domestic stops of the WSOP Circuit are Los Angeles, Atlantic City, Tulsa, Council Bluffs, Cherokee, Baltimore and New Orleans. In addition, there will be international sessions in Italy, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Belgium and France.
