A pool of 149 players registered for the PokerStars’ 2017 World Championship of Online Poker $25,000 no-limit hold’em high roller. The event came with a guaranteed $3 million and a pool prize of over $650,000.
Nick Petrangelo made a three-handed deal with Bryn Kenney and Bartlomeij Machon and turned out to be the winner at the end. Petrangelo goes by the screen name “caecilius” made a $624,676 as the winner. Petrangelo along with Kenney are competing in the top places for 2017 Card Player of the Year race.
Bartlomeij Machon emerged as the chip leader on the beginning of the eight-handed final table. He along with Kenney and Petrangelo made a deal where Machon locked up $636,113 while Kenney secured $559,694 and Petrangelo $551,591 leaving $73,085 and the title remained to play for.
Machon was eliminated soon after. Petrangelo took charge for a while, but Kenney came out with more chips. That, however, didn’t work in favour of Kenney, and he was shown exit with $559,694.
