Lauren Roberts scripts history at the US Open

Lauren Roberts has become the first woman to win an event at the USPO in an event. In other event, Sean Winter finally claimed the title in his fourth appearance in the final table. She won the Event #3, the  $100,000 NLHE event as she bagged $218,400 for the victory after she defeated Koray Aldemir heads-up for the title. Eight people began the day which also included Stephen Chadwick, San Winter who were also fighting it hard for gaining an overall points lead. However, Winter and Chadwick hit the rail on 5th and 3rd place and US Open Poker Open pro Brandon Adams finished on 4th place. Aldemir who held a commandable chip lead but Lauren Roberts paved her way and won the event with Ace-Four. Roberts said, “It is really huge for me. I have never won anything before and this is really an amazing feeling. I love playing poker and I get to learn a lot of things whenever I play a tournament.”

Stephen Chadwick and Sean Winter will be up against each other in Sunday’s Event #4, the $10K Short Deck event which will be featuring Winter and Chidwick again. This means that it is going to be three final tables for Winer and four tables for Chidwick. The short deck final table will feature David Peters, Seth Davies and Ben Yu along with Chadwick and Winer who are lagging behind in the chip count.
