John Hesp made an appearance for the first time after finishing 4th in the WSOP $10,000 Main Event. Hesp reported the local newspaper he’s in talks about, a movie made on his life.
Hesp was presented on his return to the casino on September 2 with a special chair which was designed to match his unique dressing, for which he became known for during his Main Event.
The poker player revealed on a special evening, he is close to finalising a deal to make a movie on his poker journey. Hesp told that was contacted by two or three producers when he was in Vegas, including some Hollywood names, but he decided to go with a UK based company.
Currently, Hesp’s lawyers are looking into the finer details of the contract, with the deal 90% complete; the poker star is hopeful that his story can provide some feel good inspiration for viewers. Hesp entered the $10,000 Main Event as one of his “bucket list” adventures and goes on to set inspiration for the people that they don’t need to play the game with patience and strict attitude to do well.
No details from the movie are out as it is still in the air, but Hesp’s choice would be George Clooney to play the lead role.
