Ryan “HITTHEPANDA” Franklin came out on top of a 5,914-strong field in the PokerStars Sunday Million to claim the title on Sunday. After collecting $159,701 in his biggest online cash win to date, Franklin took his lifetime online poker tournament winnings past $4.1 million.

At the nine-handed final table, Franklin was accompanied by online poker stars Anatoly “NL_Profit” Filatov, “flong78” and “vip25459”. With 4,149,869 in chips in his stack, Franklin had started at fifth place at the final table.

Filatov was the most dominant and held more than half of the chips in play by the time the table was reduced to four players. After Belarus’ “Alexey5758” crashed out in fourth place and vip25459 in third place, the event went into the final heads-up.

Franklin approached the face-off with aggression to get an early lead. However, Filatov made a comeback to catch up with Franklin, thanks to his ace kicker when the board ran out quad threes.

In the final hand, Filatov’s three-bet all in with ace-jack over the top of Franklin’s open with ace-queen made the former settle for the second position.
