2017 PokerStars Championship Prague Main Event; Sow Leads

The stage is set for the final day of the PokerStars Championship Prague Main Event wherein the last six of the 140 fight for the €775,000 prize on Monday, December 18.

 

At the close of Day 4, Kalidou Sow was sitting at the top of the leader board with 8.135 million in chips in his stack. Sow overtook Jason Wheeler and Michal Mrakes to take the first spot on the leader board. On the eventful fourth day of the Main Event, 15 men came to the Casino Atrium Prague to make a place in the final of the PokerStars Championship Main Event in Prague.

 

Mrakes came to the day 4 with a healthy lead, the only player in the pool with over four million chips. The next to Mrakes was Wheeler sitting at a distance with 2.4 million in chips. Sow came in with 640,000 in chips and went on to become the leader of the six-man pack at the day’s end.

On his way to the top of the table, Sow began by knocking out Serhil Popovych and after that thumped Mordvinov (9th), Valentyn Shabelnyk (8th) and Matas Cimbolas (7th) to end his Sunday on a high note. The late charge gave him the lead over Jason Wheeler who holds 8.1 million chips coming to the final day.

 

The others in the final six who will challenge the leaders – Sow and Wheeler – are Michal Mrakes (5.01 million), Gabriele Lepore (1.815 million), Colin Robinson (1.425 million) and Harry Lodge (1.23 million).

With big leads going into the final day, one among Sow, Wheeler and Mrakes is most likely to claim the Main Event. It would take a great deal for Lepore, Robinson and Lodge to reach the top.
