In a 17-hour marathon, French poker player Thibault Perissat took home the win in Event #14: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP). The event, held in a single day, saw 2,639 entries and concluded with Perissat claiming his first WSOP bracelet and a top prize of $197,308.

The tournament began at 10:00 AM and lasted until nearly 3:00 AM the next morning. This victory marked the 41st WSOP bracelet win by a French player. Perissat had already cashed in another ongoing event, placing 264th in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Max for $3,006.

A total of 396 players shared the $2,322,320 prize pool. Notable players who finished deep included Joe Cada, a four-time bracelet winner and the 2009 WSOP Main Event champion, who finished 54th. Six-time bracelet winner Josh Arieh finished 14th, and two-time bracelet winner Jesse Yaginuma took 4th place.

Heads-up play began with Ron Schindelheim holding a slight lead over Perissat. However, the tide turned when Perissat’s Q-10 beat Schindelheim’s A-10, thanks to a queen on the river. This win gave Perissat a commanding 3:1 lead. In the final hand, Schindelheim went all-in with J♣ 10♥, and Perissat called with Q♥ 5♥. The board came A♦ K♠ 8♣ 9♥ 9♣, and Perissat’s queen-high hand secured the win. Schindelheim finished as the runner-up, earning $131,571.
