The World Series of Poker event #19, $1,500 No Limit Hold’em was yet again a tournament with a massive amount of players as the small buy-in attracts such a wide range of players. In total the tournament reached 2,086 players which created a total prize pool of $2,816,100 to be split among the players finishing in the money.

The tournament took three days to finish and the final day started out with 12 players, but within a couple of hours play reached the final nine and the final table could begin. The final table had a few well known faces from around the world, including Mustapha Kanit from Italy, Dejan Divkovic from Bosnia and John Hennigan from the US.

Ted Gillis started day three with a very healthy chipstack of around 1,1 million chips and continuously build on top of it, which eventually got him to a heads up match with Hennigan. As the final hand approached, Gillis had a massive chiplead over Hennigan, having almost six times as many chips.

The final hand came after 140 hands on the final table where Hennigan pushed all-in from the small blind and got a call from Gillis.
