Stephen Winters from Lyons, Colorado, won the World Series of Poker’s $300 buy-in Gladiators of Poker event, earning $401,210 and his first gold bracelet. This tournament had 20,647 entries, making it the fifth-largest live field in WSOP history.

Held at Horseshoe Las Vegas, the event lasted six days and exceeded its $3 million guarantee, resulting in a nearly $5.1 million prize pool. After four starting flights and numerous hands, Winters was the last player standing.

“This is for the little guys,” Winters told WSOP reporters after his win. “I only play a few small tournaments each year, so it feels great to be relevant for once.”

A total of 2,763 participants received a portion of the prize pool, with the smallest payout being $600. The top 44 finishers earned five-figure sums, while only five players, including Winters, took home six-figure prizes.
