Simon Webster wins 15th Annual Oklahoma State Poker Championship Main Event

Simon Webster has won 15th Annual Oklahoma State Poker Championship $465 Main Event at Hard Rock Tulsa. The event saw 293 entries and at the end, Webster took down the prize money of $42,155.

Webster entered the final table with a million chips. After the win, Webster stated “I took a few losses early, so I had to calm down and be patient.”

After beating Pam Belote in seventh Place, Webster continued to stack up with more than three million, leading to the final table. He surrendered the chip lead twice, first to the third-place finisher and second time to the James Traber.

After Baggett knockout, Webster took a 4.5-to-1 chip advantage into heads-up: In the final hand. “I coach the kids back home in McKinney, and she took the kids so I could come here. I’m sure she’ll want a piece of this,” stated elated Webster.
