On Wednesday night, Simeon Spasov captured his second WSOP gold bracelet in Event #12: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed at the 2024 World Series of Poker. The enthusiastic Bulgarian crowd was there to support him as he triumphed over John Henry Gordon in heads-up play, winning $439,815. This event attracted a record-breaking 2,526 players, creating a prize pool of $3,372,210.

This victory marks Spasov’s second bracelet, making it his second-largest win, just behind his 2022 victory in the WSOP $2,000 No-Limit Hold’em Event, where he earned $527,944. Many in the poker community consider winning a 6-max event to be more challenging and prestigious due to the high level of talent involved. However, Spasov had a different view on this. “Yeah, sure, maybe on Day 2 was tough… but the final table, no, last bracelet, was a much harder final table,” said Spasov after the win.
