Safiya Umerova wins $1,500 Shootout for $264,046

Only a day after we saw Bicknell win the $1,500 bounty at the World Series of Poker, Safiya Umerova beat Niall Farrell heads-up to be the second lady in two days to win a bracelet. Out of 1,050 runners, Umerova turned out the strongest, taking home $264,046 and the bracelet.

Twelve players returned on the final day, and after Sam Greenwood and Erkut Yilmaz were eliminated, the unofficial final table was set. This wouldn’t last long for Vanessa Selbst, she lost a coinflip for her tournament life and was out in 10^th.

After 35 hands of play, Alexander Lakhov busted in 9^th for $21,881 when his king-queen couldn’t beat the rockets of McAulay. Shortly after a huge three-way all-in occured. Daniel Tang held , Daniel McAulay and Yulian Kolev . After the flop it looked like McAulay would bust two players, as the flop came . The turn was safe as well, but Kolev spiked the miracle 2-outer on the river to stay alive, sending only Tang home.

McAulay busted in 7^th when his ace-three couldn’t suck out on Farrell’s 7’s. One hand later Raymond Ho lost a flip for his tournament life and finished in 6^th.

Niall Farrell then busted Salas and Kolev in one hand, his jacks held against Salas’ king-queen and Kolev’s ace-seven on a board of . A couple of hand later Umerova took the last chips of Mixer, and the heads-up play could begin.

In the final hand, Umerova’s were enough to seal the deal against Farrell’s when the board ran out .
