PokerStars has announced that during its next event, it will sponsor the 2023 Irish Poker Open, one of the world’s most famous and longest-running poker festivals.

The event will be place in the RDS Ballsbridge in Dublin from April 3-10, 2023, and will be sponsored by PokerStars and Paddy Power, both of which are owned by Flutter Entertainment.

This collaboration means that not only will satellites for the tournament be held on the PokerStars and Paddy Power platforms, but there will also be live streaming similar to what you see on the European Poker Tour (EPT).

In addition, before the live tournament, PokerStars will also host an online Irish Poker Open series with the opportunity to qualify, the specifics of which will be disclosed soon.

The Irish Poker Open Main Event offers a €1K buy-in and a €1M guaranteed prize pool, with various events and festivities.

The entire schedule for the Irish Poker Open 2023 will be released soon.

With a history extending back more than 42 years, the Irish Poker Open is the longest-running no limit Hold’Em tournament outside of Las Vegas. It cemented its place on the global scene in 1984, when 25 American players, including legendary players Stu Ungar, Chip Reese, and Doyle Brunson, traveled to Dublin. That tournament was aired, there was a lot of attention, and the Irish Poker Open hasn’t stopped since.
