Poker revenues fall in Denmark

Share

The Danish Gambling Authority has recently released a report about gross gaming revenues for the country including figures for poker which seem to have experimented a drop during the second quarter of 2013. The total poker revenues for Denmark amount for almost $9 million, lower than the almost $10 million reported during the same period one year back in 2012.

The decline might not seem too steep, almost 10%, but in the context of a full year report (including projections) it does amount to a sizeable chunk of the revenues lost. The Danish Gambling Authority expects poker revenues for the full year 2013 to reach over $36 million. If the figures turn out to be a correct prediction, then the losses would amount to $2.5 million compared to the same period last year.
