Phillip Hui, a Florida-based poker professional, has secured his fourth World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. He bested 835 players in the 35th event of the 2024 WSOP, a $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. tournament, turning around a significant chip disadvantage in the final heads-up to win the top prize of $193,545 and a coveted bracelet.
This victory places Hui among an elite group of only 72 players in poker history with four or more WSOP titles.
Hui’s first WSOP success came in 2014 when he won the $3,000 Omaha eight-or-better event, taking home $158,361. His most notable victory occurred five years later in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, where he earned almost $1.1 million and the Chip Reese memorial trophy. Hui’s third bracelet came from the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha event in 2022, adding $311,782 to his winnings. His total earnings from WSOP bracelet events now approach $2.6 million, contributing significantly to his $4.2 million overall career winnings.
Out of 126 players who cashed in the H.O.R.S.E. event, only 23 made it to the final day. Among them were notable names such as four-time bracelet winner and defending champion Yuri Dzivielevski, who finished 19th, three-time bracelet winner ‘Miami’ John Cernuto, who ended in 12th place, and two-time bracelet winner Daniel Strelitz, who secured the 7th position.
