Khang Pham, from Southern California, won the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Seniors Event. He earned his first gold bracelet and a prize of $677,326. The event, open to players aged 50 and above, attracted 7,984 participants, creating a prize pool of $6,999,520.
Pham had nearly $293,000 in recorded earnings from 63 previous finishes before this event. His prior best payday was $54,864, won in a $545 buy-in event at the 2009 L.A. Poker Classic. This victory is his largest live tournament win so far.
The event included two starting flights and three more days of action. The top 1,196 finishers received a share of the prize pool. Notable players who made deep runs included 2004 WSOP main event champion Greg Raymer, who finished 39th, bracelet winner Tamas Lendvai, who placed 27th, and two-time bracelet winner Mark Seif, who secured 12th place.
