It took five days, but the UK and Ireland Poker Tour, which is run by Pokerstars.com, has come to an end. The overall poker-fest has been a great time for the players, with tournaments and cash games running around the clock, ensuring action for all of the players that took the trip to the home of Pokerstars.

A total of 402 players paid the £770 buy-in to participate in the tournament and to compete for the first prize of £58,000. The players played five long days to reach to the final stage of the tournament and one local even made it to the final table, as David Hill made it all the way to the third place.

The heads-up battle stood between Ciaran Heaney from Ireland and Josh Hart from England, but the two had to negotiate a deal first as they both wanted to get a better pay-day in case they should finish second. After some negotiations the play continued with both players satisfied about the deal.
