Doug Polk, the high-stakes poker pro and poker coach, YouTuber is now the three-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner. He topped 130 entries in 2017 $111,111 buy-in to secure his third WSOP and the top prize of $3,686,865.

A prize pool of $13,722,150 was distributed amongst the top 20 finishers. This event successfully raised a $500,000 for the One Drop Initiative to provide access to safe drinking water to the less fortunate across the globe.

With the 9 players remaining, Polk entered the final day in sixth chip position, with each guaranteed at least a $312,006. With the likes of 2016 Super High Roller Bowl champion Rainer Kempe, 2014 WSOP main event champion Martin Jacobson and poker triple crown winner Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, all the 9 had a combined live tournament earning an excess of $51.4 million.

The tournament was halted for a while as the players had concerns regarding the marks found on the cards. The cards were replaced by the tournament staff and the game resumed.

After eliminating the other players, in the end, it was Polk and Grospellier. The two made the game a little more interesting by putting a side bet that whoever lost would have to adopt the opponent’s signature hair style. They were playing for a gold bracelet and about $1.4 million difference in prize.
