Daniel Vampan claimed his first WSOP bracelet in Event #25: $3,000 Limit Hold’em (6-Handed), earning $148,635. The final day took place at the 2024 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, where Vampan delivered a dominant performance at the final table.

The event drew 248 entrants, creating a prize pool of $662,160. Only 10 players made it to Day 3 to compete for the top prize.

Vampan faced Robert Wells heads-up with a 6:1 chip lead. The final hand saw both players all-in on the turn with a pair and straight draw. The river card missed Wells, and Vampan’s stronger pair secured his victory, leaving Wells as the runner-up.

Reflecting on a key moment in the tournament, Vampan shared with reporters, “I had 2,000 chips at 3,000/5,000 limits, tripled up to 6,000, and then had six-nine off in the big blind. The flop came ten-nine-five, turn nine, and I beat queen-ten. At that moment, I knew I was going to win this tournament.”

Vampan, a 35-year-old California native, primarily plays limit cash games. He revealed, “My dad is an ex-professional limit hold’em player, so I would sneak into the Commerce and the Bike when I was 18 or 19. I’ve been playing limit for a very long time.”
