Calvin Lee wins $3,000 Six-Handed No Limit Hold’em for $531,577

The three planned days weren’t enough to conclude the $3,000 Six-Handed No Limit Hold’em tournament at the World Series of Poker. Out of 1,029 entries, five players returned to play day 4 of the event, with Will Givens holding the chiplead. He wasn’t able to seal the deal, and saw American Calvin Lee walk away with the bracelet.

Shortstack Thompson had an excellent start, doubling twice, climbing up the ladder in the chipcounts.

Lee managed to knock Martin Kozlov out with against his , Kozlov collected $110,389 for his run.

Will Givens, the chipleader at the start of day four, ran his jacks into Lee’s queens and didn’t spike a jack. Givens collected $156,281 for his fourth place finish.

 

 

Shortly after heads-up play was reached, after Mark Herm shoved his into Thompson’s and couldn’t win the flip on .

The heads-up was a real rollercoaster. The shortstack of day four, Steven Thompson, started with 8,8 million against the 6,6 million of Lee. Thompson managed to expand his chipcount to 10 million, and was able to conclude the tournament when Lee was all-in as an underdog with against Thompson’s on a -flop.
