False identification is one of the biggest causes of this problem since it allows minors access to limitless amounts of alcohol without any repercussions. Unfortunately, this attitude has been normalized in modern culture— which creates a dangerous feedback loop where drinking leads to illegal behavior which leads back to drinking again with false IDs.

False identification cards are easy ways for people under legal age to access substances they shouldn’t be using yet. Unfortunately, this mindset encourages reckless behavior that can cause serious physical and mental harm over time— not just from substance abuse but from dangerous behaviors caused by intoxication as well. More work should be done by vendors and governments alike to prevent minors from accessing harmful substances through illegal means such as fake ID

Police can easily tell whether a ID is false or if it is a legit ID. For example, many establishments perform an age-check with a scanner that looks for false IDs. These scanners use RFID technology to check for valid information stored in the card’s chips; if there’s no information stored, or it doesn’t match your stated age, then the card will not work. Casinos in Las Vegas and elsewhere also have scanners to scan IDs. This in addition to visual checks. Failure to pass the scan means that your ID is immediately flagged as invalid and confiscated at best or brought into police custody at worst.
