The slot machine revenues for casino’s in Erie has had a decline in the month of May, compared to the same month in 2013. But the decline is not all bad news, as the decline is still smaller than the decline from the previous months, which suggests a growth in this period compared the previous period.

Slot machine revenues at Erie casino’s grossed a total of $11.1 million, which compared to $11.9 million in May 2013 is a $800,000 decline. But when compared to a decline year-on-year of 20.7% in February, 12.9% in March and 10% in April, the casinos are more optimistic about their future now.

Overall in Pennsylvania, the gaming board showed a microscopic decline in revenues, at two tenths of 1%, which is basically the same as 2013 numbers.

“Overall, I’m OK with the results. I can’t say that I’m pleased. I feel we can compete at a higher level and expect to reach that level at some point in the future,” Jeff Favre, Presque Isle Downs General Manager said to GoErie.com regarding the current situation.
