Jason Walbridge has been named as the next CEO of SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited, with effect from early July 2024.
Jason Walbridge has over twenty years of experience as a senior executive in the land-based and online gaming industries, and he brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position. He is currently working at Aristocrat Leisure Limited as a Strategic Advisor. He has held important roles in several well-known gaming firms throughout the globe.
Upon his appointment, SkyCity Board Chair Julian Cook expressed enthusiasm about the contributions Walbridge will bring to the company. “Jason has extensive global experience in the land-based and online gaming industries, which will position him well to lead SkyCity through its next phases,” said Cook.
Walbridge also conveyed his excitement, stating, “It will be a privilege to lead SkyCity, and I am excited to be joining the business at this time as SkyCity looks to pursue the many opportunities ahead of it.”
Before his current roles, Walbridge held positions with NYX Gaming Group Limited and Aristocrat Leisure Limited. He has also served in the New Zealand Defence Force and held senior consulting roles. Walbridge holds an MBA in International Management from the Auckland Institute of Studies.
Until Walbridge assumes his new role, Callum Mallett will continue as the Interim Chief Executive Officer. Speaking about the transition, Mr. Cook expressed gratitude for Mallett’s leadership and support during this interim period.
