Las Vegas Resorts Step Up to Support Southern California Wildfire Victims

Several hotel and resort operators in Las Vegas are providing assistance to those displaced by the Southern California wildfires. Resorts World, Fontainebleau, Treasure Island, South Point, and Virgin Hotels have started offering discounted room rates for evacuees seeking refuge in the area, according to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas expressed its commitment to supporting those affected. In a statement, the resort shared, “Our hearts go out to those who are affected by the devastating fires in Southern California. While a tragedy like this is unfathomable, we look to offer a safe place of rest and refuge during this heartbreaking time.”

Wynn Resorts is contributing to the relief efforts through significant financial aid. The company has pledged $700,000 to the American Red Cross and an additional $300,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. These funds are intended to support emergency response initiatives and provide resources for those impacted by the fires.

Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Resorts, highlighted the company’s dedication to assisting affected communities. “Our hearts go out to those who have been impacted by the devastating Southern California wildfires. In times like this, there is little that can be done to console the immense loss that so many people are experiencing, but we remain at the ready to assist in any way that we can,” Billings said.

In addition to corporate donations, Wynn Resorts has launched an employee donation matching program. This initiative will double contributions made by employees, providing even more support for wildfire relief.
