An online player became the first Illinois $1 million draw-game winner of 2026 after hitting the Lucky Day Lotto jackpot in the Sunday evening drawing.
The digital ticket matched all five numbers to secure the $1 million prize. The winning numbers were 19, 28, 30, 40, and 42. Nearly 32,000 winning tickets were sold for the drawing.
During 2025, Lucky Day Lotto produced more than 10.7 million winning tickets statewide, paying out close to $67.3 million in prizes through the Illinois Lottery.
Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Lottery officials advise signing the back of the ticket and keeping it secure until claim time.
Lucky Day Lotto operates exclusively in Illinois with daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. Tickets are sold at authorized retailers, online, and through the Illinois Lottery app.
