Harrah’s Oklahoma opened on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by tribal leaders and Caesars executives. Opening-day events also included live performances, local celebrity appearances, first-play moments on the casino floor, and a fireworks show.

Barry Switzer and Bob Stoops added a local football angle to the launch, taking part in ceremonial first-play events as the property opened to guests.

Inside the 173,000-square-foot facility, visitors will find more than 1,000 slot machines, 12 table games, and a dedicated high-limit gaming area. Food outlets include Arrow & Ember, which serves contemporary American dishes such as steak, lobster bisque, and specialty burgers, along with Dash Café for quicker options including smashburgers, pizza, and breakfast burritos.

The site sits about 50 miles northeast of Oklahoma City in the Chandler area. Caesars and tribal officials are tying part of the pitch to Route 66 traffic, especially with the road set to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026. That could bring added tourism to the area, including travelers heading toward places such as the Seaba Station Motorcycle Museum in Warwick.

Guests can also use Caesars Rewards at the property, earning and redeeming credits not only at Harrah’s Oklahoma but across other Caesars locations including Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, and New Orleans.

“This is a milestone moment for our team, our partners, and the Chandler community,” said Joe Scibetta, SVP and General Manager of Harrah’s Oklahoma. “We’re proud to officially open our doors and introduce a destination that delivers the Harrah’s experience while creating something new and exciting for Oklahoma.”

For the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, the project is being framed as a longer-term economic play as much as a gaming launch. “Harrah’s Oklahoma brings new energy to our community and creates meaningful opportunities for future generations,” said Jake Keyes, Chairman of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma.

Officials said the development is expected to create more than 300 jobs across gaming, hospitality, food service, security, and administrative roles. Caesars and tribal leadership also see the property as a regional draw for visitors from across Oklahoma and nearby states.
