Atlantic City Police says that they have arrested Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice at a local Casino, after an argument with his fiancé turned physical. The police department told local news that Rice and his fiancé Janay Palmer were both arrested charged with simple assault charges and that both were released later the same day.
Neither parties wanted to have any medical assistance after the fight and neither of them reported any sort of injuries either. Michael Diamondstein, Rice’s attorney, hopes that that after the investigation is over that it shows to be something more than a small misunderstanding.
Baltimore Ravens released a statement on the matter Sunday evening, addressing the issue:
“We are aware of the Friday night situation with Ray Rice and his fiance,” the Ravens said. “We have spoken with Ray, and know that they returned home together after being detained.”
Rice is a key player for Baltimore Ravens and was drafted in the second round of the 2008 draft and has since then only played for the Ravens.
