ESPN has added sports betting analyst Pamela Maldonado to its lineup, just in time for the upcoming college football season. With the season kicking off on August 24, Maldonado is set to contribute her expertise in advanced analytics to enhance ESPN’s sports betting coverage. Known for her sharp insights, she’ll guide fans through the intricacies of placing bets, offering commentary that combines her love of sports with her betting knowledge.

“I am excited to bring my love of college football and other sports to ESPN,” Maldonado said. “I am even more excited to educate and provide analysis by way of sports betting. As they say, chance favors the prepared mind.”

Maldonado won’t be limited to college football; she’ll also offer betting analysis for the NFL, golf, and tennis, primarily focusing on ESPN’s betting editorial content.

Scott Clark, ESPN’s VP of Fantasy & Betting Content, welcomed Maldonado, stating, “Pamela has established herself as a respected voice in the sports betting space and will provide great insight and depth to our overall sports betting coverage.” He also noted that her extensive experience in betting, especially in football, comes at a perfect time as they prepare for both the college football and NFL seasons.

In addition to welcoming Maldonado, ESPN recently renewed its contract with sports betting reporter David Purdum. Purdum will continue covering all aspects of the sports betting industry, from business and odds to in-depth features. He also collaborates with ESPN’s investigative team on major betting stories, including high-profile incidents such as the Alabama baseball scandal, player suspensions with the Detroit Lions, and the Iowa and Iowa State wagering investigations.
