Betfair Using Snapchat to Promote Odds

Share

Betfair is one of the leading online sportsbooks and is also one of the most innovative sportsbooks that the world has seen. Now they are at it again with new and special ways of promoting their betting platform, which is now being done through the social picture sharing application “Snapchat“.

Snapchat is a service where users can add each other as friends and send pictures to each other that can be shown from 1-10 seconds as well as post videos and pictures on their timeline that their friends can see for 24 hours after. Betfair is looking to use this application to get bettors to add them on Snapchat and see the best odds available through pictures on their timeline.

The matches between Chelsea / Everton and Crystal Palace / Man Utd were the first to be pushed by Betfair through the Snapchat application and says that they are the first in the world to do this kind of PR. Betfair is pushing the Snapchat application on all their social media sites, hoping to gain a large following base.

“Snapchat is a relatively new, yet rapidly growing social media platform, which I’m certain will play a huge role in the marketing mix of companies going forward.” Brand Director of Betfair, Mark Ody said.

“To be one of the first brands, and the first betting company, to make use of the platform is very exciting. It has huge potential for us as a business,” He ended.
