The Vegas Golden Knights, the famous National Hockey League (NHL) club owned by Black Knight Sports and Entertainment LLC, are embarking on a new and exciting chapter. The team recently announced a strategic agreement aimed at improving its content streaming capabilities. The Golden Knights have partnered with ViewLift, a sports streaming superpower, to provide its fans with an immersive experience. This multi-year arrangement is set to deliver locally-broadcast games of the club to screens across Nevada and neighboring states, providing hockey fans with a new level of involvement.
The agreement, which marks the start of this new endeavour, coincides nicely with the forthcoming NHL season, which begins on September 24, 2023. ViewLift has vowed to deliver a slew of features geared to NHL and sports fans’ interests and preferences in the coming weeks.
The Vegas Golden Knights’ agreement with ViewLift builds on a prior partnership with Scripps Sports, expanding the team’s reach and accessibility. Scripps Sports formerly facilitated game creation and dissemination via local station KMCC-TV, as well as several TV platforms and pay TV channels.
ViewLift plans to use its technology skills to distribute team-branded entertainment across many platforms, including Android and iOS smartphones, Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, Xbox, and Vizio. The multimedia package is planned to include live game broadcasts as well as a variety of engaging activations to keep fans engaged.
ViewLift CEO Rick Allen stated his excitement for the collaboration, noting the company’s expertise in delivering live sports information via the internet world. He underlined that the collaboration with the defending Stanley Cup champions will provide fans with an unrivaled streaming experience, whether they were at home or on the go.
The Vegas Golden Knights’ President and CEO, Kerry Bubolz, emphasized the importance of this relationship in extending the team’s fan base. With this collaboration, the team is ready to provide a complete range of opportunities for fans to communicate with the team and enjoy live and on-demand hockey entertainment. Bubolz underscored the team’s dedication to interacting with fans and establishing channels for more involvement, seeing this collaboration as a critical step toward that aim.
