Sports Betting Launches on LeoVegas.de in Germany

LeoVegas Group is stepping into the German sports betting market, adding a sportsbook to its existing online casino offerings. The new service will be available across all 16 states in Germany through the LeoVegas.de website, which already hosts online slots for local players.

LeoVegas has been operating in Germany under a gaming license issued in March last year to LVSports Limited, a subsidiary of the company. This move into sports betting aligns with the operator’s strategy to broaden its footprint in regulated markets. The company will launch the sportsbook alongside a nationwide marketing campaign in December. The campaign, called “Thrill Seeker,” will leverage TV, affiliate networks, and other media platforms to attract users.

LeoVegas Group CEO Gustaf Hagman emphasized the importance of this launch for the company’s growth. “Launching our sportsbook offering in Germany is a very exciting step for LeoVegas Group as we continue to grow and strengthen our foothold,” he said. He also pointed out Germany’s reputation as a global sports hub, adding that the platform aims to provide players with a comprehensive gaming experience.

This expansion is part of LeoVegas’s broader growth strategy under MGM Resorts International, which acquired the company in a move to strengthen its position in the global online gaming market. Since the acquisition, LeoVegas has pursued aggressive growth in regulated markets like Germany. The sportsbook launch reflects MGM’s continued investment in enhancing LeoVegas’s offerings.
