Renowned snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan has been named Wynn Macau Ltd.’s official brand ambassador. Building on his considerable impact in the sport, O’Sullivan will use social media campaigns to actively interact with Wynn Macau’s audiences and represent the company in important games and competitions. His participation in the “Wynn Presents – 2024 Macau Snooker Masters,” which will take place from December 25–28, will serve as the official beginning of this collaboration.
O’Sullivan, a seven-time World Snooker Champion, is not only a celebrated figure in snooker but an esteemed athlete worldwide. His new ambassador role marks a strategic extension of Wynn Macau’s ongoing rapport with him. Wynn Macau’s President, Vice Chair, and Executive Director Linda Chen expressed her excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome O’Sullivan to the Wynn Brand Ambassador family,” aiming to boost the brand’s visibility and further promote snooker.
O’Sullivan, equally enthusiastic, conveyed his appreciation for the opportunity. “I am flattered to work with Wynn Macau to elevate the popularity of snooker,” he shared. This partnership builds on several successful collaborations over the years, including the 2023 Macau Snooker Masters and the Rising Star Exhibition Game.
The upcoming “Wynn Presents – 2024 Macau Snooker Masters” promises to showcase top international snooker talent, with O’Sullivan expected to lead the charge. The tournament will feature a lineup of eight elite players, including Judd Trump, Stuart Bingham, Kyren Wilson, Si Jia Hui, Ding Jun Hui, and Jack Lisowski, making for an exciting roster. As Wynn Macau’s ambassador, O’Sullivan enters the tournament as the fan favorite, with strong odds in his favor.
Wynn’s objective to assist Macau in expanding its economy beyond gambling is also in line with this collaboration. Wynn Macau hopes to promote a more diverse entertainment scene by holding events like the snooker tournament and the upcoming Macau Grand Prix on November 17. This aligns with Beijing’s desire for Macau to diversify its economy beyond gambling.
