Kentucky’s legal online sportsbooks experienced a slowdown in February, with total wagers falling to $218.9 million, a 19.2% drop from January’s $270.9 million. Revenue also dipped, going from $32.2 million to $28.8 million—a 10.5% decline.
Retail sportsbooks followed a similar trend. Wagers dropped from $6.1 million to $5.7 million, while revenue fell 34.2% to $458,262. Bettors also saw fewer winnings overall. Online sportsbooks paid out $189.5 million in February, down nearly $50 million from the previous month.
All eight licensed operators in the state reported lower numbers. DraftKings recorded the highest handle in February at $80.7 million, followed by FanDuel at $74 million. However, both fell from January, when FanDuel had led with $96.2 million in bets and DraftKings followed at $95 million.
Fanatics Sportsbook saw the sharpest drop, with its handle falling 32.9%, from $15.2 million to $10.1 million. It also tied with BetMGM for fourth place in revenue at $1 million. Bet365 and Caesars held their third and fifth positions in handle, while Fanatics and BetMGM switched rankings from the previous month.
Lower on the list, PENN Sports Interactive and Circa Sportsbook posted handles of $5.6 million and $2.3 million, respectively, both down from January. PENN dropped from $7.5 million, and Circa slipped from $2.9 million.
