Invincibles Studio Raises £1M for New Football Action Games

Invincibles Studio, the company behind Soccer Manager, a popular mobile football game, has secured an additional £1m ($1.4m) in funding from NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance and Mercia’s own funds. This investment will enable the studio to build on the success of its game by launching two new football action games. Soccer Manager has over 50 million registered users from all over the world and has partnerships with Inter Milan and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, among others. The new investment will support the studio’s ongoing growth and help build its management team.

Invincibles was founded in Preston in 2004 and has secured repeat funding rounds from Mercia, the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, and other investors. The company has more than doubled its revenue in the past two years and currently employs over 55 staff in Preston and Leeds. The company is led by CEO Chris Gore, CFO and COO Max Lowe, and CMO Johnny Coghlan. The company’s chairman is Nick Wheelwright, founder of Playground games and former CEO of Codemasters.

Soccer Manager is a free-to-play game that enables players to build their own dream team from over 25,000 official FIFPRO licensed players and watch them take part in engaging and realistic match action. The game has been successful globally and has attracted a massive following from all over the world. The company’s goal is to create immersive games that use real football players, and they are excited to unveil their two new football games in the coming year.
