Indiana Sports Betting Handle Tops $351 Million in June

Indiana’s sports betting market showed strong year-over-year growth in June, with the monthly handle jumping past the $350 million mark. The state’s biggest operators once again led the charge, with Ameristar and Blue Chip Casinos accounting for a major chunk of total bets.

Ameristar and Blue Chip dominate as June betting totals climb

Indiana’s total sports betting handle for June hit $351.1 million, an increase of more than $50 million compared to the same month last year. Most of that action came through mobile apps and online platforms, which have been legal in the state since 2019.

Ameristar Casino led all sportsbooks with $131.5 million in total wagers, while Blue Chip Casino came in second with $99.8 million. Together, the two accounted for over 65% of the state’s handle. Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg finished third at $33.6 million.

AGR totals stay strong as tax revenue rises

Taxable adjusted gross revenue (AGR) across all operators reached $45.3 million in June. Ameristar posted the highest AGR, bringing in nearly $16 million, closely followed by Blue Chip Casino with about $15.8 million.

From this total, Indiana collected nearly $4.3 million in taxes—a meaningful contribution to the state’s revenue pool.
