Haaland NFT sells for $684,000 in Online Auction on NFT Fantasy Football Platform Sorare

An NFT of probably the most wanted player in European football got sold for 265.1001 Ethereum or $684,000 in an auction on Sunday night. The digital collectible is now one of the most valuable digital sport items in history.

The collectible is one of Sorare’s “unique” digital trading card of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. Sorare is global fantasy football game built on the Ethereum blockchain with Gerald Pique one of the early investors in the platform.

10 days ago, Sorare announced that 23 times Grand Slam winning tennis player Serena Williams joined the company as a board advisor.

With 4000% growth in trading volume in 2021, Brian O’Hagan, Sorare’s Growth Lead, recently took to Twitter and made predictions for the new year.
