La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS) has given the sports betting concession license to Sisal, the top online operator in Italy and a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment Ltd. The eight-year deal includes a two-year extension option and an operational start date of January 1, 2024.
Using the ‘Flutter Edge,’ the Moroccan company will combine Sisal’s outstanding omni-channel capabilities with Flutter’s market-leading Pricing & Risk management, which is driven by over 1,000 professionals worldwide. Together with Sisal’s recent contract victory in Tunisia, this marks Flutter’s first regulated entry into the burgeoning African sports betting sector.
The tender represents a significant milestone in Sisal’s worldwide strategy, confirming the company’s position in Morocco as the lone online and retail sports betting operator with a customer-driven and creative product offering. Sisal Jeux Maroc will sell the product entirely through its large network of retail stores and online.
