EstrelaBet has formally received its final license to conduct business in Brazil’s regulated iGaming industry, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Law No. 14,790/2023. The approval, which was released in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, attests to the company’s compliance with all legal requirements established by the Ministry of Finance’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA-MF).
EstrelaBet has successfully finished the licensing procedure, and the regulation is scheduled to go into full effect on January 1, 2025. The business met all requirements, including the required payment of R$30 million (US$5.25 million) and the Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) certification. Operational security and safe gaming practices are guaranteed by the GLI accreditation.

Gerçossimo highlighted the wider obligations associated with licensing. “Getting the final license is a significant step, and now is when the actual work starts. We have an obligation to actively support the growth of the regulated market, which is still in its infancy,” he stated.
