DraftKings is getting ready to launch its much-anticipated mobile sportsbook in North Carolina on March 11 on the strength of the state’s recent approval of mobile sports betting, a calculated move that has the potential to completely transform the sports betting industry.

Following the formation of strategic relationships with NASCAR, DraftKings has entered the North Carolina market, setting the stage for a smooth entry into the state’s rapidly expanding sports betting industry.

In addition to being present in important North American territories like Ontario, the sportsbook’s debut in North Carolina is a major milestone for DraftKings as it becomes the 27th US state in which it will be active.

To commemorate the launch, DraftKings, in collaboration with NASCAR and Carolina Panthers’ legendary figure Greg Olsen, will host a ceremonial first bet event at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. This momentous occasion underscores DraftKings’ commitment to enhancing the fan experience and fostering synergistic partnerships within the sports ecosystem.

President of DraftKings North America Matt Kalish commented on the impending launch and showed excitement for the new project. “We are excited to be launching our top-rated sportsbook app in North Carolina, especially with the NCAA Tournament coming up and the NASCAR season in full swing,” Kalish said, emphasizing the company’s commitment to improving the sports betting experience for fans all around the state.
